Wait No More Adoption Event

DCFS is partnering with Focus on the Family, church and adoption leaders from around Louisiana on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Istrouma Baptist Church. Learn more about children who are waiting for forever homes, the process of adoption from foster care and ways to support adoptive families. In addition, adoption agency and ministry representatives will be on site to answer questions and help you get started. Call Department of Children & Family Services' new toll-free hotline, 1-888-LAHELP-U, for automated case information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or to speak with a customer service representative between 7:30am to 6pm Monday through Friday.

This new feature allows you to search a database of nearly 53,000 delinquent payors, under legal obligation to pay child support who have not made a payment in the last six months. Search by first or last name, city, amount owed and parish where the court order was established.
