Bike-loving Brother and Sister Hope for a Forever Home Together

Four-year-old Kawana and six-year-old brother, Jonathan, are a sibling duo who both love to ride their bikes. While Jonathan may seem shy at first, Kawana is an outgoing girlie-girl who loves the beauty shop.
Kawana is an adorable little four-year-old girl. She loves going to the beauty shop to get her hair done. When she's not involved in girlie activities you can find her playing with her toys and riding her bike. Currently, Kawana is enrolled in pre-kindergarten classes, and she has an individual education plan in place. She is faced with mild learning challenges, but her learning deficits are being addressed with consistent academic support, structure, love and nurturing.

Big brother Jonathan is an adorable six-year-old boy. With a quiet and shy demeanor, Jonathan can seem withdrawn. However, he interacts well with his peers and familiar individuals. He loves playing outdoors, riding his bike and playing with his toys. Enrolled in first grade special education, Jonathan is faced with mild learning and behavioral challenges. Jonathan benefits from medication.

Kawana and Jonathan need a family that can provide them with a loving, nurturing and structured environment where they can reach their full potential.

For additional information about Kawana and Jonathan or other children in need of adoption, call the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services at 1 (800) 259-3428.  If you are interested in providing a safe and stable home for a child who needs one, please call today or visit www.dcfs.louisiana.gov.
