Adoptive Home Certification Information
for Out of State Residents
You are required to be certified to adopt in accordance with
the laws of your state by doing one of the following:

- Go to your local child welfare agency (usually no cost), OR
- Contact a private adoption agency in your state, OR
- Contact the Louisiana LARE Program Manager at 1-800-259-3428 for instructions if you are interested in adopting a Louisiana child.
